English Spun Iron Frying Pan, 10"

English Spun Iron Frying Pan, 10"
£70.00
Ex Tax: £58.33
A hand spun 10 inch frying pan from Netherton Foundry, a Shropshire company with a noted commitment to sustainable sourcing and local manufacturing. Seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a hardwearing, repairable, and naturally very low stick finish — which like all traditional iron and steel pans will improve rather than degrade with use and age. Suitable for use on all hobs, under the grill, and in the oven, and at the highest temperatures for flash frying and blackening meats, fish, or vegetables.

Care Advice

Hand wash with a stiff vegetable fibre brush, using either no soap or a very gentle soap such as Marseille White Soap. Avoid soaking. Dry immediately after washing, and either return to the hob to ensure the pan is fully dry, or dry well. There is no need to season this item, however we recommend using a little more oil than you ordinarily would for the first few uses. Store in a dry environment to prevent the formation of rust. Should rust occur, use an abrasive or rust-remover to remove, and re-season. As this is a spun iron item, special care should be taken to prevent warping. Use the lowest possible temperature for at least a minute to ensure even heating throughout, before increasing the heat to the desired temperature. This is especially important when using an induction hob, which will heat very quickly and powerfully. Please refer to product packaging for specific care and use instructions.
  • Weight g 1.14KG
  • Item Dimensions External ⌀25.5, Internal ⌀20, H5, Handle L24
  • Materials 99.1% pure spun iron pre-seasoned with flax oil and brass rivet
