Finnish Linen Friction Hand Mitt

70% linen, 30% cotton loop-woven friction mitt with a cotton hanging loop attached, for use in the bath or shower — the firm loop weave has an invigorating effect on the skin. Woven by the master weavers at Lapuan Kankurit, in the Ostrobothnian district of western Finland. Lapuan Kankurit, a fourth-generation weaving family, has been creating its beautiful linen fabrics for over 45 years. The new mitt should be washed separately before use in order for the linen-terry to soften and improve absorption, using a delicate laundry wash, at a maximum temperature of 60°C in plenty of water on a slow washing spin. Linen fibres may come off the product during the first few washes. Check the lint filter before and after washing. Do not use softener and avoid bleach. Use a slow spin cycle. The colour of natural linen becomes lighter with washing. There will be shrinkage of approximately 10%. 15cm x 23cm.
