A pair of high quality, mirror polished stainless steel kitchen scissors, made in Premana, Italy, by Fennek — one of this historical scissor-making town's oldest makers. These scissors have a modern design, comfortable handles and a smooth, easy-cutting feel in use.
Drop forged in AISI 420 stainless steel, the forged blanks are then hardened in a controlled atmosphere to a hardness of HRC 55-57, offering a balanced combination of edge retention and toughness. The scissors are then expertly worked and assembled by a resident Regolatore (known as a 'Puttertogetherer' in the UK). The handles go through several stages of grinding and polishing, while the blades are traditionally sharpened with a serrated edge, for improved grip when cutting. Premana could be called Italy's equivalent to Sheffield in the UK or Solingen in Germany, home to the country's best makers of scissors and knives.
This pair of scissors measures 19cm, with blades of approximately 7cm in length. Dishwasher safe, although it is recommended that you remove at the end of the cycle and dry thoroughly to avoid staining caused by chlorine.
