Miyabi Isshin Nakiri Knife with Rosewood Handle, 17cm

Miyabi Isshin Nakiri Knife with Rosewood Handle, 17cm
£59.00
Ex Tax: £49.17

A Nakiri kitchen knife, made in Seki City, Japan. A versatile and multipurpose shape ideal for swiftly dispatching vegetables of all shaped and sizes, suitable also for boneless meats. A layer of High Carbon Stainless Steel (AUS8) is sandwiched between two layers of soft steel which is laser cut to the final shape. With expert heat treatment, the blade is hardened to 57:59 HRC resulting in an enduring edge that is easy to resharpen. The handle is made of laminated rosewood. A great everyday entry-level Japanese Nakiri kitchen knife.

By purchasing this item you are confirming that you are over the age of 18, and that we may contact you prior to dispatch in order to verify this. Orders including any bladed items will incur an additional courier age verification charge and legally require delivery to persons aged 18 and over.

Care Advice

Hand wash only, and never leave soaking. Dry immediately, followed with a light coating of camellia or a food safe mineral oil. Store in a dry environment to prevent rust formation. The hard steeled centre of this blade enables razor-thin sharpening, but results in a brittle edge. With this in mind, to prevent chips exceptional care should be taken to avoid bone-in meats such as legs of lamb and chicken thighs, and tough skinned vegetables such as gourds and pumpkins.
